Room 11 also designed a flag that they would have as the New Zealand flag. These are the designs we created.
When the four flags were selected by the panel, Room 11 had a vote to see what their favourite flag would be. These are the results of our vote.
Yes, that's right! We had a tie with two of the flags. Room 11 will now wait for the referendum to see what happens. Make sure you have your vote!
Our Nature Walk
Room 11 has been learning about the life cycles of living things. We went on a nature walk to see what living things we could find around the school. We found some bugs and some plants. We looked at the life cycle of plants and planted some seeds ourselves so that we could create our own plant life cycle.
With Miss Murphy, we did some sketches of some of the living things that we found.

Anjalee's Journey
Room 11 has been following the new elephant Anjalee's journey from her home in Sri Lanka, to her time spent in quarantine in Nuie and then her arrival at Auckland Zoo to be a friend for Burma. In the school holidays some of us were lucky enough to go and see Anjalee and Burma at the Zoo with our families.
We have been following Anjalee and Burma by visiting the Auckland Zoo website. You can click on this link to see some of the videos we have been watching.

Digital Citizenship
We are learning to be digital citizens. Together with Rooms 12 and 13 we spent the day learning how to look after digital equipment, to log on and off computers and how to choose apps for our learning. Miss Clough put together this video to show what we are learning. Thank you Miss Clough!
