The Minstrel Visits Clevedon School

We really enjoyed the Minstrel's visit to Clevedon School.  We learnt how we could protect fish for the future and how to keep safe when we are out fishing. Here are our stories with the messages we learnt.

Fishing

I am going fishing and it was fun.  I caught a fish but the fish had baby fish in it.

Room 11 Hosts Junior Assembly

Well done Room 11!  We are so proud of you!  You really showed how you have been learning to manage yourself in a formal occasion. You all spoke clearly and used the microphone correctly.  Absolutely fabulous Room 11!

We look at the work of Pablo Picasso

Room 11 looked at paintings by Pablo Picasso.  We looked at portraits that he had painted. We then made an oval for a face and tried to make a portrait similar to Picasso.  We used brightly coloured pastels and outlined our work with black pastel.

Making Paper

In our Sharing the Planet unit, we have been looking around the school at the ways we could reduce, reuse and recycle.  One day we emptied our recycling bin and decided to try to make paper.  This is what we did.

Enthusiasm for Learning in Room 11

Ms Sholson keeps telling us how enthusiastic we are.  Watch our video to see what we have been up to!

Our Rubbish Investigation

Room 11 investigated how much rubbish we could find on the Clevedon School grounds.  This is our investigation.

Statistics

We have been learning to gather, sort and display objects.  Ms Sholson gave us problems and we had to figure out different ways to group the objects she gave us.  This one was about sorting the bugs in Katie's garden.  We have been looking at cicada shells and lots of us have been collecting them so this was something we were very interested in!
