This morning we were lucky enough to visit the technology room with Mr Din. He talked to us about batteries and LED's. He gave us a simple circuit with a LED and a battery. We had to find the positive symbol. When we touched the red wire to the positive side and the white wire to the rough side, or the negative side, the LED went on. We felt very proud of ourselves when we got our lights going.

Learning Ball Skills with Te Puru
Coach Jeff and Skye from Te Puru are teaching us how to throw and catch balls and how to dribble the ball. They have really great gear that we really enjoy using.

Pride Week
We were lucky enough to have some parents come and share our learning. We taught them about our Pride values.
We had to show empathy by looking after a water balloon. We brought them back to school in the special beds we had made for them.
Our Class Rules
In Room 11 we had a talk about some pictures that Ms Sholson had. We shared our ideas in pairs and Ms Sholson wrote all our ideas down on Post-It notes. We decided what the pictures would look like in Room 11 and Ms Sholson typed up all our ideas. Now when we come to school we look at the wall to remind us of our responsibilities to ourselves, others and our environment.

Welcome to 2014 with Room 11!
Hi Everyone,
We have had a busy start to the year, setting up our class rules and learning about our Pride values. We all agree that our favourite places are the swimming pool and the playground!
We have explored the school grounds and know all the 'out of bounds' places. We were intrigued by the new bio-cycle area and its purpose!
We are looking forward to an exciting year and we know we are going to learn heaps! Keep watching this space so that you can keep up with all our adventures.
Lots of Love
Room 11
