We had been feeding Herman our friendship cake in Room 9. Mrs Borrie had given it to us to look after it and we had been feeding it. Then Mrs Borrie came in and we baked the Friendship Cake. It was delicious! Now some children in the class have taken away their own Herman cakes to bake and pass on. We had a great time.

Room 9 Makes Butter
Room 9 has been looking at how food gets from the field to the table. We looked at how to make butter. We couldn't bring a cow into the classroom, so we just had to start with a bottle of cream.
We put the cream in the shaker and passed it around and around and around, giving it a shake each time we got it.
Ms Sholson took the lid off to check it but it just looked like thick cream.
But, at last we started to notice some changes!
Finally we had butter! Ms Sholson drained the buttermilk off. Then she spread the bread with the butter.

Room 9 Visits the Science Fair
I liked how Daniel put a charger into the telephone and he how he charged it using the sun.
Xavier
I liked how Emma got some fruit and plugged electric wires into the fruit. The fruit turned electric.
Ava
I liked how Chris used a bottle and filled it up half way with water. When he dropped a cylinder tube into it, it fired upwards.
Nathan
I liked how Matthew got plastic bags and Gladwrap and found out how much brown the fruit got on it.
Abby
I liked how Toby tried Fanta, Sprite and Coke. He put a string in the drinks and you could see which one floated.
Lennox
I liked how Lydia treated dried red wine stain and pasta sauce stain with vinegar and other stuff to see which one came out first.
Hanna
I liked how Kris made a type of mouse trap with a sensor that fell down when the mouse went into the box.
